1st Anniversary....but.. the Chase continues....

Completed my first anniversary of my maiden job….

Little Update…..

Appu (My Ex- Boss) has left to a place near Rajasthan and a new guy has joined the office, we call him Mr. Power...he is young dynamic and my new Boss....he sometimes gives complex to other officer’s present here including me, cause of the way he maintained himself, he is so fit & healthy at the age of 44...masah-allah...

Had a talk with Appu few days back...asked him how are u Sir..?? He replied “jahan bhi main jata hu khaane peene ki jagah dhoond hi leta hu...ha ha ha” and we also got a news that the business of Samosas  is increasing by leaps & bounds there - “Courtsey APPU”...really helping the small and medium enterprises to grow at a rapid pace...

The sweets shop from where samosas were purchased during APPU’s Era now doesn’t recognize our office boy...who once had a good reputation and even allowed credit...if required – samosas have stopped entering our stomach...but APPU is yet unstoppable and going strong.

Now about Mr. Power, he joined the office in the month of May...stayed 15 days in a luxurious hotel...yes cost borne by the organization...now he resides with another officer in his Flat, as his wife is out of station.

Mr. Power wakes up early morning says I have to look for a flat...(his family is yet to settle here) and since the month of May, he is looking for residential flats...2-3 flats everyday and by the day ends  he says “I have to look some more Flats”.And if I am not wrong he had already seen 35-40 flats...approx...dnt know what is he looking for...sometimes I feel to say “Sir aapko rehne ke liye Taj Mahal yahan nahi Agra mein milega...”

Mr. Power sits so late in the office that even our office boy says...”Sir ab toh mereko bhi overtime claim karma padega...” last evening Manager’s wife called and said “Darling aaj Dinner kahan karogey ghar mein ya office mein hi bhej doon...??” after disconnecting the phone and being shattered by wife’s comments, Manager said ..."welcome to the life of  Overtime..…u have completed 1 successful year of this job...now get married and Ruin your happiness….”

To which I said ...“Sir....we people can only Pursue for happyness ...and can't achieve it actually....” after remarking I resumed my chase for happiness....yet again...

what about you guys chasing the happiness/ dreams....or achieved...??

Learning in 3/4 th of a Year...

Dear All,

After so many days I am back on my blog again...got some great feedbacks in regard with my posts...didn’t knew that you guys wait so eagerly for my posts...it makes me feel very different...just like reaping profits from my own business...or just like a self-made successful CEO...

Was busy with loads of work dumped on me by my very sweet APPU (hope all of u remembers ”appu”), I dnt like renaming him but due to sheer frustration I again renamed him to “MOTA BHAI” (gujrati)...I really thank you gujjus for framing such a sweet language...using superlatives was never so exciting....actually it helps us a lot, now I call my boss Mota bhai...during his presence...he think we are respecting him as a big brother but let me remind you Motu - you can never be my brother...

Was talking with a friend he is in sales and during the talk he said that there is a notion that “Boss is always right”. I smiled after listening to that he said what happened ?? my other friend replied if his boss would always be ri8 then by now he must have been on road...felt bad cause of humanity...on the other hand felt on seventh cloud cause it’s a boss- employee relationship...beyond human beings....

ri8 now mota bhai is waiting for a promotion...had a talk in our head office and was informed that most probably he will be promoted, but not for his performance or intelligence but for some other reasons...but who cares it makes no difference to mota bhai... yet again he will be celebrating, having lots of samosas –kachauris n 5-6 pegs of whishky, will make him risky at the bar….

Guys have great news, learning lots of new English pronunciations in raipur from different people and believe me I really fear some day I will also start pronouncing the same way as they do….below are few examples ...trust me I have mentioned very few...if required will post some more but only on demand...

Madam – Maiidum
Format - Farmat.
Also – Aalso (thank god they don’t call Alphonso)
Slowly slowly – islowly islowly

And my personal favourite.....its simply awesome ...

Balance sheet – Balance Shit (written by an auditor while submitting the audit report of a company)

Hope you all can understand that if they continue using English in such a modernized way...then some day Queen Elizabeth from heaven will come down to Raipur and say “ we freed your nation now please I am begging please abolish the use of English language ” Suddenly , a clone of Aamir khan will appear from back and claiming himself as rancho of Raipur n will say “ All Izz Well...budhiya...All izz Well...”

Will post some more later on....
till then take care n keep commenting....

With best regards....

2 Marvels....

Hello everyone,
We meet different types of people in our life, and there are few people who observe these people and some ignore them, I am not in that group of observing Giants but few peoples according to me are simply marvelous and unimaginable.

I also met two of these types of guys during my training (3 month on-the-job training) in KARVY-An Asset Management Company, these guys were with immense knowledge & Talent and almost knew everything in Universe.

Panda (oriya) was the guy who was working there since last 3-4 yrs prior to that he worked in a private firm and was handling the insurance section then. As he get to knew that we were studying in Bhubaneswar he became so nostalgic that he used to treat us as if we were his brother-in-laws. He used to start with giving notes and insist us to write more and more of his lectures or better to say his knowledge in Insurance....He used to make us write almost everything, even some quotes which were written by him. Two of his most memorable quote is jotted below: -

(1)“It is better to have insurance and not need it, than to need insurance and not have it”, and
(2)“ It is better to sweat in peace, than to bleed in war”

Sometimes we used to believe that his long desire was to become a lecturer or an author but guessed his fate didn’t supported him....he didn’t even let us drink water he only repeat his favourite two words likho likho... n we used to give him a dirty look, after that he used to say calm down and exactly after 20 mins he used to say proudly that “see you tomorrow”.

The other guy was Sanjoy, by name it suggests he was a Bengali, no I am not communalist but used that word only to describe him better, so if anyone felt bad am xtremely sorry....So, Sanjoy was a graduate managed to clear B.Com any how and was looking after something which we couldn’t figure out ultimately.....may be gyaan baazi and chaaploosi...of branch manager, coz he managed to be very close to the branch manager...he also used to add insult to our injuries ...he explained us the actual and practical meaning of being an MBA and a CA.

According to our dearest Sanjoy, "MBA"(irrespective of specialization) means – MAAL BECH KE AAO……and "CA" means – Come Again…we guessed he tried to get a CA degree initially and we were ri8, but finally landed up only with the self made defination of CA....a great persona...doesn't he??

He was great and panda was as cute as the PANDA Bear...really they are unforgettable as they made a place not only in our hearts but also managed somehow to make some place for us in the air conditioned office of KARVY during the summers of 2008.

I think these people are hard to ignore....so shared with you all..

Do post ur comments about learnings from these two marvels of KARVY….and share if u met any of these types….

Looking fwd to ur comments.....

tak care...

4 Paragraphs with anand, from Anand

Hello everyone,
This time I don't have much to share with u all guys, as much havoc has been created due to the padma bhushan awards this year. But I have a beautiful romantic poem to share, written by one of my friend from my college days...

This poem was sent to me by Anand Jaiswal, I asked him to permit me to post his poem on my blog, he immediately replied me "mera naam daalne mat bhoolna"...

As I loved his poem, so decided to post it on my blog...and share with u all...

This time please u guys put ur valuable comments,as I assured him that I will make his writing and him a bit more popular to my world.....

So,here Goes the beautiful 4 paragraphs.......

Remembering the Pain

It’s been a year; still I feel the pain...
No matter how far she is, I still feel the same...
Back I remember how close she was with me...
Now I see how far she is without me...

The time has pass by, I still feel the pain...
Waiting for someone to heal the same...
Remember the season, where we use to play in rain...
Now the season has pass by, still waiting for a drop to fall in head...

Think of the time when we went for a show...
Now the theater is close, as I don’t have you with whom I used to go...
Searching for you by running here and there...
But you are gone where my search ends...

Smile was the word when I used to take your pics...
Now the frame lies empty, as my smile passed away...
I pray to god, love does not happen to me again...
And if it happens I wish it ends with my name...

By Anand Jaiswal

I invite u all to post ur comments regarding liking or unliking of the poem.
U can also put queries...n I promise to put them in front of Mr. Jaiswal.

Tak care guys... have fun..will be back with my happening posts shortly...

Bas Kar........ Boss !!

Hello Everyone,

Got some really true comments on my last post...

After few days I realized dat u all love to read about my beloved {b}{0){s}{s}..but I hesitate to write about him...I just think about the day (the D-DAY infact) when fortunately or unfortunately he gets the link to my blog and rolls his eyes all over the blog....so I feel that praising him in my own way can be a bit riskier....

“Magar risk to spider-man bhi leta hai na”.....at least this risk brings humor n happiness to ur life...its worth....

So here are some more updates about my white elephant...(APPU)

Last week I cleared an examination, and according to the organisation’s policy I will get a salary increment... this made me happy but it made APPU happier...Normally it calls for party but partying with your colleagues can be boring... It’s just like changing restaurant into an office... and We don’t like working overtime.... So what made APPU so happy...

Snatched few hairs from my scalp...to get the answer ??

Finally explored, that he got a chance to booze and that also at other's expenses... my friends always remark that boozing is always wonderful pass time experience, and at others expense it becomes doubly adventurous...and achievement for my beloved APPU.

Few days back he became serious, better to say furious....would come to office...would go straight to his cabin...would go for lunch and would return at 4 p.m...not only this he stopped talking with all his loving and caring sub-ordinates like us and started passing email for every little-little things. I kept wondering what went wrong?? What happened to him?? Sometimes I thought that he is on hibernating mode or he is on a “maun vrat”.

Now most of the things have been sorted out, he is out of his hibernating mode but still he is possessing one habit, he makes us wait in office till 7:30 pm,though office-closing time is 6:00 pm... And that also without work.....

But, He is a gem at heart and a true leader... He just sets examples in his own different ways...truly worship able....till now u all must have understood how much I admire APPU......so I wanna take care of him.... What do u say guys ?? should I take him to Psychologist...??to Zoo – may be,he feel like home after meeting with his mates (other elephants)...or to Ramdev Baba...as he will make him slimmer too... or u have some better ideas...

views please.

Rgds..

Friend in Disguise...

Hello everyone…
Thank you all for such encouraging comments..

Till now,you must hav got an idea about the white elephant….(my B_ss)…

Grt response from u guys....

U all motivated me to write down about few more interesting characters I encountered in Raipur, So here comes the other one...
This is for a person about whom nobody has written and I guess nobody will ever write in future...

But u know what makes me feel at the top of the world...?? It is…to sit in the office, write on ur blog and sip tea, which is sponsored by the bank....its simply a dream come true…

So... about the new man....

He (Yadav ji) is just a mango man (aam aadmi), just like us. I dnt know his full name and never tried to do so…can be a bit riskier… u will get to know how...??

He is a pan-wala, whose shop falls on my way to office(just 1 km run)...And I am a regular visitor mostly after my dinner... He is the person aging approximately 40yrs of age..and my first pal in Raipur....(better to say a friend in disguise)

At the third meeting on Sunday I asked him about his home town he replied “hum chapraa ka hoon bhaiya” then I said....toh Raipur mein kya kar rahe ho...?? pat comes the reply “wahi jo aap kar rahe hain maharaj”…he meant “earning livelihood…”

Then the hidden philosopher popped out of paan-walah...neglecting his prospective customers.... Just like the magical gin from Aladdin’s lamp...and stated his most favourite line “pait hai to bhait hain” (we meet different types of persons in life only to feed our stomach)... I said favourite coz after few days I found that he utters the same words to every person who asks similar questions...Suddenly a thought striked in my mind...that i came across 40 professors(approx..) in my academic years and not a single professor had told me those words ever... yet mom says “dnt stand in a paan thela”...how to make them understand these sort of things....so I decide to keep mom’s advice aside and start to explore some new horizons of life...

After few days, when the ice was broken between us ...I used to acknowledge him by saying “Yadav ji SA RA RA RA……..” don't worry guys I also dnt know the meaning of this statement....just picked up the line from a very famous bhojpuri song played during Holi...but noticed one thing, that whenever I call him by saying so, he starts blushing…and says “KYA MAHARAJ KYA SA RA RA…..HUMRI MRS…TO CHAPRA ( a town in Bihar) MEIN HAI…”

But he is a very humble guy ...I spent many weekends just gossiping with him....
“Kehte hain na doobte ko tinke ka sahara hota hai"...and he was just that tinka in my case during my initial days in Raipur… when making friends was not a very soft nut to crack….

As of now, the situation is changed....every morning when I am on my way to office most of the time running late, he starts screaming arey “MAHARAJ RUK TO JAIYE…THODA SA RA RA TO BOL DIJIYE...”

And then I say shaam ko milte hain Yadav ji....

Till date I visit his shop regularly... and make sure to say him "sa ra ra ra" as it makes him blush and I manage to have some fun...

The other colourful character in my life...Yadav ji...in Raipur…did u like him???

What do u say....???

Will be waiting for ur replies….

Luv u all...tak care... "SA RA RA RA......"

My Beloved....Boss

Hello guys...

hop u all are doing well coz "ALL IZZ WELL" rocking the charts with the magic of Phunsukh Wangdu..n Chatur Ramalingam

Again wanna share something with u all...You must be thinking how college days are different than Office days according to my last post...let me tell u...

You must have listened many a times that the biggest enemy of an employee is his Boss...but my take on this matter is a bit different...

I admire him the most.....I think he is an Icon..let me summarize...

U all must have seen the ad of IDBI (Industrial development Bank of India) which is on air now-a-days...do u know why they are showing elephants and that also of grey colour..it is becoz the white elephant is serving for SIDBI the sister concern of IDBI. Wondering who the White Elephant is??? let me give you a hint..(the most lovable person from an employee's point of view....(Bo_s)..ya u got it...

My white elephant (Bo_s) is a person who needs only few things to exist...samosas, cashews(bade-bade) and Whisky...are his hot favourites...sometimes I think itna pyasa to koi registaan ka insaan bhi nahi hoga...he is always ready for booze..thank god our organization restricts boozing during office hours.
Adding to few characteristics he had already broken 2 chairs of our office coz he doesn't sits rather tries to sleep and forgets that chairs are not flexible. Sometimes I feel to rename him, as Chimmney..coz most of the time smoke is seen over his head..

Whatsoever,he is just like a small child ....not in regard with cuteness or lovingness rather, he forgets everything what he does relating to official work...when any query arises he boldly replies..."File mein dekh lo"...as if we don't know that all information are stored in files.

So my White Elephant.... is truly an Icon.....na....thats y I love him so much..he had transformed our workplace so differently and will continue to do the same in future too....

These person changes the workplace...a true Charismaa..within themselves...

What u all feel...he is an icon or not...??

Luv u all..tak cr...
